Alabama White Coleslaw is a creamy and tangy Southern-style slaw made with crunchy cabbage and carrots tossed in a smooth mayonnaise and vinegar-based dressing. Its slightly sweet, peppery flavor makes it a perfect side dish for BBQ, pulled pork, grilled chicken, burgers and sandwiches.
Finely shred the cabbage and carrots.
Place the vegetables in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, mustard and black pepper.
Pour the dressing over the vegetables.
Toss gently until the cabbage and carrots are evenly coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Toss again before serving and adjust seasoning to taste.
