Indian Palak Paneer | Authentic Spinach & Paneer Curry Recipe
Indian Palak Paneer is a classic North Indian vegetarian curry made with soft cubes of paneer simmered in a creamy, vibrant spinach gravy infused with garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, and aromatic Indian spices. This wholesome and nutritious dish is packed with the goodness of fresh spinach while offering the rich, comforting flavors that make it a favorite in Indian homes and restaurants alike.
Fresh spinach leaves are briefly blanched to preserve their bright green color, then blended into a smooth puree with green chilies. The puree is cooked with a flavorful base of onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, garam masala, and kasuri methi to create a silky, aromatic curry. Soft paneer cubes are gently folded into the spinach gravy, and a splash of cream adds richness while maintaining the earthy spinach flavor.
Palak Paneer pairs beautifully with naan, roti, chapati, paratha, jeera rice, basmati rice, or pulao. Naturally rich in protein, iron, and vitamins, this comforting dish is both healthy and delicious, making it perfect for everyday meals or special occasions.
