Kachri Salad

 

Kachri Salad is a traditional Rajasthani salad made with fresh kachri (wild desert cucumber), simple spices, and herbs. Known for its tangy flavor and cooling properties, this rustic salad is a refreshing accompaniment to Indian meals. 

Cooking Method

 

Wash the kachri thoroughly and peel if needed. 

 Slice or finely chop the kachri into thin pieces. 

 Add chopped onion, green chili, and coriander leaves to a bowl. 

 Mix in roasted cumin powder, black salt, and regular salt. 

 Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the salad. 

 Toss gently until well combined. 

 Serve fresh immediately.
