Cooking Method


  1.  Preheat oven and grease a pie dish. 
  2.  Cook onions in butter until caramelized. 
  3.  Add mushrooms and cook until softened. 
  4.  Stir in herbs, salt, and pepper. 
  5.  Add cream or cheese if using. 
  6.  Place one pie crust into the dish. 
  7.  Fill with mushroom onion mixture. 
  8.  Cover with second crust and seal edges. 
  9.  Brush with egg wash. 
  10.  Bake until golden brown and crispy. 
  11.  Cool slightly before serving.
