In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Add flour, butter, cinnamon powder, and dried fruits. Mix well to form a soft dough.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into buns.
Place them on a baking tray and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
Pipe a cross on top using a flour-water paste.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Brush with sugar syrup for a shiny glaze and serve warm.
